Maxine Kelley (Stories by Bubby) has been reading books to children since the days when her children were youngsters.  In her travels she has read stories to children in San Francisco, Hawaii, Italy, Virginia, & Pennsylvania.

“I feel the joy & delight by reading to children fosters future generations of readers,” Maxine says.  She continues, “Reading tickles the imagination and takes children of all ages to the past, the future, the present, fosters challenges and answers questions.”

What better way to begin life’s journey than reading to children & opening up the world of limitless fun, education and chairside travel.

Maxine returned to her native California 18 years ago and resides in Carpinteria.

You can meet Maxine & children can hear the stories off the bookshelves of Curious Cup each Saturday at 11 a.m.
