Desperate Measures  by Laura Summers:

Ruby’s Review:  I thoroughly enjoyed Desperate Measures by Laura Summers. The book has a good plot line and shows the perspectives of more than one character.  How Mrs. Summers came up with it, I don’t know but I do know many will agree it’s a great book and well worth reading.

About the book: Vicky and Rhianna are about as different as twin sisters can be. For their thirteenth birthday, Vicky wants a card from her crush. Rhianna, who is learning diabled, wants a Furby.  Instead, they get a nasty shock. Their foster parents can’t cope and it looks as if Vicky and Rhianna and their younger brother, Jamie, will have to be split up. How can they stay together?  Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the three embark upon a perilous journey that they hope will bring them to a home- and a future- where they can be together.
