Graveyard Shift, by Chris Westwood
Graveyard Shift by Chris Westwood is a book about ghosts and a boy named Ben.  Ben lives in London and he discovers a world of ghosts and demons that seem to follow him around.  When he meets a mysterious man named Mr. October, who works with dead people, Ben is thrown into a whole new world, full of death, monsters, and excitement.
This book is pretty good and I enjoyed reading it.  It is not as scary as it sounds.  I’d recommend this book to all kids ages 8 and up, though it may be mainly for boys.

The Secret Tree, by Natalie Standiford is a book about a girl who lives in a town full of secrets. She realizes this when she stumbles across a tree in the forest where a ghost lives. People in the town place their secrets in a hole in the tree trunk, where the ghost will supposedly eat them. Anyway, this is a good book for all ages who enjoy thick plots, intense drama and mysteries.

Three Times Lucky , by Sheila Turnage is about a girl named Mo who lives in a small town with her adoptive parents. Someone in the town is murdered and Mo and her friend try to solve the murder case. I think this is a pretty good book and I liked it. I recommend it for people who are ages 8 to 14. It’s very gripping and I think the best part is when one of the main characters betrays Mo. I suggest that you read this book.

The Mad Mask, by Barry Lyga was a good book and there are a lot of strange twists at the end. It is funny, but, unfortunately it has a lot of strange vocabulary that nobody has ever heard before. It is the second book in the Archvillain series. I have not read the first book in the Archvillain series, so parts of The Mad Mask I did not understand, but it’s a good book anyway. I recommend this book to kids who are ten years old and older.

One Dog and His Boy, by Eva Ibbotson is a great book, and I liked it a lot. It has a good plot and strong characters/dogs. The main character really wants a dog. When his parents get him one it’s really only for rent. He steals his dog back from the dog rental place and runs away with a friend. I recommend this book to people who want dogs and to people who have dogs. Kids from ages 7 to 12 will probably like this book.

Bird and Squirrel on the Run! is a comic book novel by James Burks. it is about a squirrel who is afraid of everything and a really happy, carefree bird. Due to Bird and a big, creepy cat, Squirrel loses his food. Squirrel and Bird are forced to take a long road trip to the South so they can get food for the winter. Meanwhile, the cat is tailing them and is trying to eat them. This book is pretty good, and I recommend it to people who are 4 to 11 years old.

I  read “BeanBoy” and I didn’t really like it. It is about a boy named
Tucker  who comes from a poor family. He likes comics so he finds a way to make money
for his family by entering a comic contest (the prize for the contest  is  money). I thought this story was kind of boring but if you love comics,   then  you might like this story.  The ending of  this story is very predictable

and
unreal.  Then End.
