We are excited about opening Curious Cup– an independent children’s bookstore coming soon to Carpinteria, CA. We love this beach community and look forward to being a part of this community and making Carpinteria our new home.
In addition to having a great selection of children’s books, including multicultural and bilingual books, we will also carry puzzles, games, and toys for children of all ages, a few funky gifts (which will make the perfect birthday and teacher gifts!), cards, organic coffee and teas. We will be able to have birthday parties for children, book clubs, writing groups, and other community activities in our separate community room.
If you are a teacher, librarian, media specialist or a school, we would love for you to become part of our teacher discount program. We offer year-round discounts for schools, teachers and librarians (preschool through grade 12). Librarians in the Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, and Ventura library systems are included in this program. Educators receive a 10% discount on books for classroom and library use.
If you are a school looking for an alternative to the Scholastic Book fair, we offer in store bookfairs, where your school will receive 20% of ALL sales conducted in the store and cafe during the book fair.
If you are a teacher and would like our store to carry your reading lists, please contact us and we will offer these books to your students at a 10% discount. And because we know it is hard for teachers, librarians, and media specialists to stock their bookshelves, we offer a 10% discount on books for the classroom or school library.
